Anybody has experience and can advise where to start? There is so many options and adverts around. Not sure which ones are genuine or not. Please advise if you can.

I started investing in the beginning of May this year when it was around 1500€ for 1 bitcoin. I'm using Kraken (www.kraken.com) but people also use Poloniex, Bittrex, Bitstamp and others... Kraken and Poloniex are one of the largest exchanges and have the most users so tend to be under a lot of pressure when prices go wild and it can be hard to access them or trade. It also takes longer to get verified.

I have my crypto currency split between an exchange and a hardware wallet. About 1/3 of my portfolio is in bitcoin and the rest in Etherium. If you're planning on long term investing, you may as well keep everything on a wallet but it will slow you down, if you want to ever sell your crypto in a hurry. I keep about half of my Ether in the wallet for safetey.

If you need more info, just ask :-)

My largest regret is letting my wife talk me out of investing in the early days of bitcoin. Not long ago I made the mistake of calculating what the purchase would be worth today. :double FML...

bought 5 bits coins for £10 each and spent them on "other" things just messing about really. would have been £10k last yearish :(
also had a small balance left over which i lost from ntgox :(

Is there even a way of turning bitcoins into money yet, or do you still have to deal with weirdos offering to meet you alone at 2am?
