Unfortunately its up to the seller to check for wanted threads (if he/she wants to) before creating a for sale listing, the server does throw up some wanted threads just before posting to try and show the seller there are wanted threads.
The main reason why Wanted threads should NOT get automatic 1st in line is that anyone then can claim "1st dibs" on the golden goose.
I could create a wanted thread for a C65 , that does not mean when one comes up for sale its automatically mine if I can afford it. that would be unfair.
I have seen recently a couple of members when creating a for sale thread have added to their posting "Reserved for xxxxx as he has an outstanding wanted thread" and then the seller PM's the owner of the wanted thread if he/she is still wanting the item, but this is just a suggestion not a rule.
