I am getting ready to list my Blizzard 1230 MKIV on here tonight, but I wanted to ask a quick question:

I noticed that there is a brown stain just next to the component that is immediately to the left of the SCSI board connector. What is that? Is it anything to worry about? The photo I have here is limited as it is taken by my camera, but I noticed that the picture of the DCE version on the 'Book of Amiga Hardware' site has a similar brown stain around it (link here). I sometimes see these stains on electronic devices, but i am never sure what they are.

Can anybody tell me what it is? The picture of my one is attached:

Looks like solder flux or resin residue to me. Nothing to worry about IMHO

No, it is touching the solder for that device, so I guess it could be where some has been cleaned off at the fabrication stage, as blankstare seems to suggest.
