Hmm....

What to do if I get a PM from a long time user, and in good faith send just shy of 1.000 euros via PayPal "friends and family" (where no coverage is offered), never to hear from the user again? I transferred the fund on the 13th, 14 days ago. The user does not reply PM's, nor emails...?!?

Please advise.

Thanks!

Please inform Admins.
It's all you can do...
Long time user is NOT the same as long time member with 100+ positive feedback.

That's a nice Christmas present you've sent him or her :mad:

Use the triangle at the bottom of your post to report it along with all the details you can.

We can look into it for you but I don't think there's much chance of getting your gift back.

True, but the user doess have a 66 positive feedback count, and zero negative. I started off purchasing a Vampire and then he offered me the Blizzard PPC.

I'll inform the Admins of the details of the transaction.

Thanks all.

And a back door deal - nobody with 66 feedback has posted in this thread.

No, he PM'ed me directly. I did not know that was bad form to do that. I have bought from him previously, where he did send the goods. However, at a much, much lower price.

@rimmer

Even with a Wanted thread the proposed seller MUST post within the thread.

This way everything is visible and clear to staff what is happening.

I hope your item turns up but it could be an expensive lesson.

@ rimmer if used a credit card to fund the payment , contact them, that's one of your best chance's of getting your money back.

OR file an unauthorized transaction in PayPal ?

All the best, hope you can recover your money.

@All

I've received a PM from the seller.

This hopefully is shortly going to be resolved with a good outcome.

But as stated above by Sardine - for your own protection always use a protected method of payment.

A short, and positive, update from me.

I got a message from the seller; as I feared the seller has had an accident and was thus unable to fulfill his obligations, nor was he able to send a message.

From our previous communication and transaction, the seller seemed like a stand up guy, and luckily, I was not to be proven wrong this time.

The package has been sent, tracking information has been relayed to me, and thus from my point of view, everything is dandy for now.

Once the package has been received, positive feedback will be given to the seller, as his accident should not serve as a further liability for him.

Thanks all.
