Howdy,

I have a boxed Philips Odyssey 200 for sale.

The device is working, but the battery holder is broken and needs replacement (it takes 6 C cell batteries). This can be seen in the pictures. I've tested it with another battery holder (taken from another Odyssey 200), and the device worked ok (see pictures). The previous owner had left the batteries in there and they were leaking quite a bit. Damage to the device is very minimal, nevertheless i do think that the device could do with a proper cleaning.
Cosmetically the device is in good shape. Again: see detail pics. The box has had a rough time but is still in one piece.
Athough in working order, considering it's age (37+ years): i am selling this device as-is.

Asking 32 euro, plus shipping. Paid via paypal as a gift. (was 40, then 37, then 35)

Some pics attached, see here for 12 detailed pics: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/15717744/amibay/Odyssey200.zip

It's christmas, you can give yourself a present mate :P

 You tell my kids that. All presents are meant for children don't you know:huh:

Tell you what,... let me know what shipping is to the UK and I'll see what internal organs I can spare, though I fear the wife may have spent those too:wooha:

Organs schmorgans, what games do they play? ;)
The Odyssey weighs just over 2kg, which leaves DHL's 10kg tracked for 15,50 euro as the best option to the UK

Howdy lads. In two days, i'll embark on a backpacking trip through Uruguay for a month. During that time, i obviously cannot make any sales on Amibay.

Feel free to queue up interest if you're prepared to wait until my return (Feb 15th or so), or wait until i bump this thread upon my return.

Still pondering over this one and still skint, lol. Does it have a means of supplying power from a wall plug rather than the battery compartment and do you know what rating the psu would need to be if so.

Am not declaring interest just yet as don't want to mess you about but lets just say I'm toying with the idea if it still about when my bank balance is a little healthier.

It has a connector for it (1st pic, at the top, same location as where the rf lead exits the unit), believe it's a 9VDC, tiny jackplug. Not sure though.
Oddly enough, i've never seen a unit that had the actual psu...

Sorry withdrawing interest, after some research I don't think a replacement battery holder is going to be easy to find for this.

Thanks for letting me know. Do think it´ll be fairly easy to replace with a custom one...

Back to you, BluesBrothers? ;)

Declaring interest... again... :D
