Hi,
Problem with the cdrom bus side. The ide side recognize cdrom drive and works. Cdrom side using idefix finds the drive but it doesnt work, just hangs up and even the front open button doesnt work. Tried to read the manual and it says that supports 3 different type mitsumi drive. So are those only ones that work on cdrom bus?

IIRC yes. Only some specific drives can work with the tandem.
