Thanks Marios, i'm really glad you like it. I've not much free time lately, but today i managed to add another sliding shelf for the second synth. :)

Ah, I love it when this thread pops up to the top. Just when you think it can't get any better, here's a wall of synth. :D

Thanks Jimbob, at the moment, i'm somewhere between the cockpit and the furniture build. Time is priceless, and obligations aplenty.
Anyway, i had some time today to work on the O2 bottle holder:

Most parts of the holder are aluminum sheet, except the hinge.

I know it's been a while, but things in real life just keep getting worse...
Didn't feel like mentioning this for some time, but unfortunately i'm heading for a divorce next month. This has occured all of a sudden, surpising and shocking.
29 years feels like a lifetime. What this means though, is that there's a change of plans. Stuff is being packeged, furniture are being dismantled, and of course the cockpit project has been paused.. :(
Most of you have noticed i'm selling stuff lately, only reason is i need to lighten the burden of boxing everything up, plus help finance legal expenses.
Anyway, with that thing proceeding, i have managed to steal just a little free time, and completed the seat's back cushion. Only a few details have remained, and she's done there.

As y'all understand it will be a while before anything new is posted, gotta set my gear at the next house. Taking apart and re-assembling will be a task on its own.
Whenever i have progress, you'll witness it. Till then, stay tuned!

sorry to here mate, take all the time you want.

theres no rush to see this finished, and dont feel down.

Thanks fellas, it's nice to be among friends in cases like this.. :grouphug:

Sorry for the bad news salaxi but great work on the cockpit build so far.

Wow..

Wow..

That's great work.. I love the way u photo each stage of the build

Keep the updates coming

Thanks, it's been going on since last November, but family and health problems have really put a brake to my pace.
Been talking to other pit-builders, some of which have taken up to 10 years to finish! But it all depends on various factors of course. Most of all financial, but i have a tendency to be on the 'cheap side'.
I mostly use scrap wood that's been laying around for a while, and don't really want to be precise in replicating the real cockpit.
When i discuss my hobbies with local (Greek) friends, i always tell them that i believe in the 3-X parameters.
X - Χώρος (Space)
Χ - Χρόνος (Time)
Χ - Χρήμα (Money)
Those, if aplenty, should be able to cover anything you put in mind..

True, true.

I know it's been a while, but i haven't given up on my build. It's just a slower pace. Anyway, here's my progress so far.
I have decided to pay attention to bulky stuff, so as to have 'em ready for the move. Living in an apartment is forbiding for massive construction.
This is the progress on the side parts of the cockpit, where all the panels will be placed:

Nice large storage space inside! :-)

Some minor details added to the seat:

Not yet treated, these parts need sealing, sanding, and painting.

Here's another minor update. Found me a fella in the UK who takes custom orders for 3-D printing. So, i gave him my 2-D sketches (!), and he came up exactly with what i needed for buttons. These 26 gray buttons will be placed at the CDU (Central Display Unit) frame. They were cheap to make, and i actually found the guy through Amiga surfing LOL. He makes a miniature A3000 enclosure for Raspberry Pi! Here's the result:

This is the button in 'normal' position (unpressed):

and pressed:

This is what they look like when attached to the frame:

I was planning on making these using a mould, but time is precious, and they came up real cheap too...
So, i'll keep y'all posted on the progress as i proceed, but real life is in the way, and as i said, time is precious; finances are gone down too. I'm actually planning on selling my uber-secretly saved Amiga jewel pretty soon. It was stored for ages, waiting for better times.
You'll understand what i mean when time comes.
Stay tuned folks! ;-)

Happy to see your most precious project keeps on!!!!!!

And a little bit of needlework for the left side chutebox.

Then, it was fastening the fabric time:

Those last 3 pics show the chutebox temporarilly placed on the seat. Needs some fastening.

And that's all for today :)

And why have you not finished this amazing project

come on you have had long enough

:p only joking mate nice progress as usual

Thanks bud, i'm actually daydreaming most of the time, fantasizing my man cave is all set up, and all projects done. But then, real life comes knocking the door...

at least you do make progress i daydream about making stuff and buy the parts but never actually get to build what i want

I can sympathize! :) At least most of the time it has nothing to do with 'buying parts' on this one. It's still mostly scrap and spare stuff i have laying around.
