It works perfectly on the C128 D, so it should work on yours. As long as the distance between the Joy ports is the same as on the C64, it should fit.
I don't have the DCR to measure this.

I am worried about the joystick connection crashing into the 25- pin keyboard connection, the 128D has the keyboard connection somewhere else
