Not sure if this in correct place.

Im thinking about grabbing one of these.
I have so many retro consoles I collect original hardware and games,

So im not going down a cassette rabbit hole.

Anyone have one of these, my first introduction to gaming around 6 was watching my grandad in the loft playing the last ninja.

Anyone used one

I have both the standard beige and the recently released black edition.

Very good, compact and easy to use. One tip is to have a USB keyboard plugged in if you want to use BASIC 2.0 for some retro programming. You can also add and play disk and tape images from a USB stick shoved in it (create your own - very easy).

I assume i can just load all my favs on, interesting about even programming on the thing.

Which would you pick out the three 🤔

On the 64 I'm partial to a good shump - Delta, Sanxion, Nemesis, R-Type, Uridium, etc

Also play stuff like IK+, Hypersports, Summer Games I & II, World Games, Leaderboard ... I Ball, Zub, Dropzone, Krakout to name but a few.

Far too many good ones to pick just three.

On the tape side, just load up any Ocean game and listen to that sweet loading music :)

If you plan on buying, avoid Ebay and their used ones like the plague. Best to buy retail from somewhere like Smyths Toys (link). That way you're covered with a 12 month warranty in case of any problems.

For me. It would probably be last ninja 2, curse of sherwood forest, and probably fist 2 as thats the first game I ever purchased from toys are us with my own money.

I never had any disk games and went from c64 to megadrive

I got black edition :) and also thanks miggymad for giving me memory stick of Load of C64 Games as then I can pick which one I want to play.

so C64 games I played are

Turrican 1 and 2(Lots of actions, surprise level too and music is Amazing too!)
IK+(music of it is amazing!)
Myth( Hard Game but title music is great to hear as nothing like today video game music!)
Platoon(another Hard game as well!)
Rainbow Island(good fun)
All shoot em up miggymad mentions as well and Armalyte (Title music is amazing and so are the game too!)

Most of games I have played would be Turrican series as I have finished them as seem be easier than Amiga Version and I still haunt finished Joe Blade(I could have finished it last week but trying find exit is a problem and you have managed your bullets as best way to save your bullets is jumping over Enemys is good things because in end, you would able finished game when you got some bullets left :) )

I played Ninja Remixed way back in 1990 as it is game i love playing and tricky part is where you have jump on boat to on land or jump on logs as hoping you get there.

There is Ninja Series collections on steam pc as it is got save state thankfully as so if jumping near to end and you dont want make mistake then save state would do for u weather that cheating or not as end of day, it is all about enjoyment!
