I hate toys, i have no willpower... damnit, had to buy one... for testing purposes only :)

Depending on his stock, could be a while to see it
 
european tvs usually have pal/ntsc rgb / scart as standard along with 1 or more hdmi

some have rgb / composite / s-video but s-video is becoming less popular these days.
 
i got mine ultimate II last week.
i really like it.. very comfortable..
now i have to search a c64 breadbin in really good shape.. :)

Yeah a SCART cable/connector can carry all three, but it doesn't HAVE TO do so, though modern TVs who do have a single SCART generally seem to support all signals.

I know older sets with several sockets had different combinations, like one socket all three, one only comp+svideo, one only composite etc. Varying with brands and models.

Well, you're in Germany so you should be able to find a nice C64G. I managed to get one here in the states and it's my favorite version of the C64. I love my old brown breadbins, but the C64G just looks better. :D

I keep thinking about getting hold of an Ultimate-I for my VIC-20/Plus4 until Gideon gets standalone mode working on the Ultimate-II.

Honestly, one of the SD2IEC or uIEC/SD type devices is more than adequate for the VIC-20, and I also believe the Plus/4. The only time you really need the full 1541 emulation is when you run into programs that use the processor and memory that's in the 1541. I can't think of a single VIC-20 or Plus/4 program that does that. I could be wrong though. :)

in conjuction with jiffydos these bits of kit are really nice to use.:)
 
I ordered one of these, they sound great, i was checking his info on his website. Since 12th March he has shipped 174 @ 130 euro a pop... do the math... very nice :)

or the Final Expansion VC20 (V3 Rev.10) with SD2IEC and 512kB RAM and 512kB Flash memory expansion.

I didn't mention that because he wanted to use it with his VIC-20, C64, and Plus/4 and the Final Expansion only works on the VIC. I've got two Final Expansion 3 cartridges, a Rev 9 and a Rev 10, and I believe they are the '1541 Ultimate' for the VIC-20. :thumbsup:

Have you tested cartridge loading rips made from cartridges, or are they what prgs are?
