I have fished out an old battered C64C that I picked up sometime last year.
Bought this as semi-faulty. Board works as does the keyboard but two keys seemed to be stuck. Turns out they are not stuck at all but the springs are missing
This old 64 Seems to have taken a knock or two on the corners which has broken a tab on the case and also cracked a tiny portion near the cart slot. Nothing too bad tbh, but I am guessing the shock was enough to send those two keys flying and they lost the springs.
So I am wondering! Are the springs exactly like the type used on the Amiga 500 and A1200 mitsumi keyboards? I have a shed load of them. Just need to fish them out.
Really asking if anyone has done this already or shall I not bother and source the proper thing.
