So I found super-nice clean A1200 in UK, original box, seal- which I'm ready to buy, but before I do, I need to verify something, Since PSU unit is different (voltage) my solution:

Use adapter from local electronic store to convert the voltage to 120

Or is it possible to use A500 psu with UK a1200? (I prefer this way)

pal is europe we have ntsc - all i have to do just hold both buttons on the mouse to switch to NTSC mode?

let me know guys! thanks!

yes thats all and if workbench is installed on a hardrive/cf you can use ntsc screenmodes from startup

If you have an RGB monitor or RGB compatible TV I think it won't care if it is PAL or NTSC but again i'm not sure.

I've used NTSC consoles (Japanese Super Famicom & Japanese PC Engine) on 4 different PAL TV's at home which support RGB and they all worked perfectly for me.

Floppy-only based software will "mind" if they are NTSC. But the worse thing that can happen is the game playing slow and with no colour.

But the wast majority of games available are in Europe, so it is wiser to have a PAL machine.

Hook it to a monitor, install WHDLoad and never look back.

I think you can buy one of those inexpensive 7" monitors from ebay, (used in cars, or back up camera's...) some with svideo, or composite input... and most of them will accept pal signals...if you want to play games on the 1200... most pal amiga games will want either a pal rgb monitor (one of the commodore ones...(1084s) or a pal monitor. :)

I have a PAL 1200 and a PAL 600 and both are either attached to my 1084 or to my 7" lcd display... also incase you are interested... those tiny 3.5" lcd displays you can get on ebay, also accept pal input and look pretty good :)

hope this helps... :)

Many of the Sony PVM series of Trinitron monitors display both NTSC and PAL signals. I have a 13" version, and it's display is much better than the typical monitor such as Commodore sold.

You can find them oftentimes on Ebay.
