cant switch out of pal

both mouse buttons on the a1200 i bought arent taking me to the cmos
when i get to the wb screen, everything is out of sync of course
why isnt there a key command to boot into the cmos?
can someone help me?

Press both mouse buttons at the time you switch it on.

It only works prior to WB starting.
