Yes, the shape could probably be improved because in my case I have to use an extender as the switcher tends to fall off by itself due to the weight of the attached peripherals. I was thinking I could use hex bolt screws on the switcher's end and screw directly into the Amiga to hold it in place better. I had to that on the two output ports and it works well.

See the above comments if you ever want to do a Rev1 of this great product! Shotgun/dibbs on the first of the future Rev1 boards :)

I thought I'd lost my prototype boards! Found them last weekend thankfully! So sad this couldn't have been refined with extender built in to increase reliability in a updated revision! They are really useful!

I'm sorry, but the Amiga community has clearly spoken, they don't want me to be working on anything anymore and I certainly don't want to go against their wishes. I'm sure the other developers they have favoured, who apparently "always deliver", won't miss the occasion to do something even better.

Have I missed something? You'll always have a recommendation from me. If you're referring to Amigakit, I'm of the opinion they now consider gadgets and items like this CD32 switcher aren't worth their time sadly. In the Eyetech days Alan Redhouse would have made his own version but we are reliant on cottage industry small scale sellers like yourself for cool little solutions! Thanks for the prototypes anyway.

No idea regarding what you are saying about Amigakit, I've never had anything to do with them.

Thanks for your trust, but never mind :).

They had a similar CD32 compatible product (code): JOYMSESW2 and even have unpopulated PCBs but in 5 years have shown no interest in selling them. They have bigger fish to fry like the A600GS. All the best in the future!

It's very sad that there won't be a Rev1 version of this board. If the extender was built into the main board design (i.e. the input 9pin had a protruding extension or even a wired 9pin socket) then the signal strength would be a lot better and solve most of the shortcomings of the design. I find that the AliExpress 9pin 90 degree right angle adapters that I've got are far more reliable than the provided extenders! I'm blessed to own two of the four prototypes produced and would have happily bought a third (Rev1 model) given the chance!
