Chocolates?

It must be quite popular in the UK, if you want to get sweets from Japan I would recommend items like Pocky coconut, tropical, cheesecake. Or Chococo is an amazing biscuit which they don't seem to sell on Amazon UK.

Many anime freaks like myself indulge in the fact that we can eat what we see in our fave shows. They're also rather tasty.

Ahh I see, that would explain it.

I must admit Pocky is rather nice but once you try Chococo it's hard to stop !(◎_◎;)

The fact that British stuff keeps becoming increasingly bland, poor-quality, and ever-more-miniscule also contributes. :p

Pocky has gone up in price here over the last few years and will be higher again with the new taxes they will be implementing.

I suspect they got onto how many were being exported!

For those with a soft spot for Kinder Bueno, I went to Aldi the other day and bought a box of chocolates called spiral and they are similar and very nommalicious.

Current favourite chocolates are Toffifee (Toffifay in states), Thorntons (UK), Star bar (UK), Milky way crispy rolls UK, Milky way (UK), Strawberry Musketeers (USA) might have been limited edition, Tootsie rolls (USA), Ghirardelli dark chocolate raspberry (USA)

Am I the only one who sometimes likes to bite the chocolate off of them and eat the middle separately?

Absolutely not! Its the best!

I would be more enthused about this thread, if it weren't for the fact that I can buy Pocky from a shop that's less than five minutes walk from my office...

Is that in Chester by any chance? lol

I'm afraid not, it's in Southampton. Specifically the Students Union shop.

Also, just recently opened in Southampton City Centre is a shop called "Americandy", it should be pretty obvious what sort of stuff is sold there. Next time I have a craving for Twinkies, I know where I can get some!

Sorry to report this, but for the time being Hostess are out of business.

If Americandy has any Twinkies then stock up on them while you can.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if someone resurrects them.

After all, they are the other American flag!

I knew about that, but there were some in-stock in the store in Southampton over the weekend. £10 a box, but still in-stock.

Right then, you can be my Pocky dealer when youre showing me the ropes on those databases!

Disappointingly, I couldn't find any Pocky in there today. I'll keep my eye out though! I'll be back in Cheshire mid-September, so I'll try and bring you some up!

£10.00 a box of Pocky? How many packs are there in a box? Sounds well cheap compared to here.

Andy was talking about Twinkie bars at ten pound a box, not Pocky.

Pocky prices were not mentioned.

Well, quite. That would be price-driving. Prices of Twinkies are fair discussion though. For... erm... I'm sure there's a rule that allows me to get away with it somewhere in here!

Just had soup and a fake Snickers from lidl for pudding,
