Reading through - you asked what memory I had, which I did list. You didn't actually specifically request the 128MB ones (or any size at all), and tomse did. Just double checked my pm's as well?

OK, my original enquiry was subjective..

However, please do consider in future that when a member is asking for information on something, it is polite to wait and give them the opportunity to reply, and first refusal. Without knowing what is available, it is impossible to express exact interest in anything specific.

BTW, I will retract my interest in the other items, as I was more interested in the laptop drives.

For reference, there was no mention of "interested in...", "can I have.." etc which seems to be the agreed norm for requesting items - hence why I saw it as a general inquiry and not a request.

I'm giving these away for free and didn't expect to have to start justifying my decisions - if I wanted to make things easier I would have just used freecycle and the wouldn't have to worry about posting things.



Anyhow, I have in fact just found another 4 128MB simms. These are also double sided, and have the four chips along the bottom - but with these the memory chips are standard thickness. Seem to be 60ns variants too.

I'll test them out on the blizzard scsi add on to make sure they are ok - do you want one of these?

Scrappyphinx - if you still want a 128 simm I can hold back the package with the a1200 roms while I test them and put one in the package for you?

sorry to butt in but, i do remember there being several threads where this was discussed, and i thought the outcome was, if your are interested in something, you must state you are interested, and how much is shipping or sent a PM wasn't enough.

maybe this need clarifying and stating in the rules ASAP?

Sadly, a staff member took it upon themselves to retract the announcement which clarified how interest was to be declared on the site (without consulting the rest of the staff) which is why this mess continues to exist.

If you can test them on your blizzard and they work, then please can I take 2 of the 128MB simms please? The lowest profile and fastest ones you have available if possible.

Also, if they did work then I will also take the A4000 blanking plate, as it shouldn't add must cost the parcel.

If you can PM me the postage cost that would be great.

If you've found 4 more and harrison is only interested in 2 and i want 1 but nobody is interested in the last one i'd take both if possible. I'd be glad to send any more postage required.

Sorry - all taken (after realising I should probably keep one for my own A1200. ).

All packages requested so far sent out today, bar scrappyspinx's since I've a simm to put in there as well now.
