They are actually pretty easy to find for not too much money.
What kind of price are you looking for ? (out of interest)

ColecoVision was never imported to my country so they're impossible to find locally.
As for prices, all I see on evilbay are US sellers & they give me shipping quotes of over 100$ :blink:

Prices on evilbay vary widely, usually depending on the rarity of game titles that are sold with the console.
I dont really care about rare games, just want the console in my collection with a few random games :)

I have several Colecovisions boxed, loose, with or without AV mod, but just checked Canada Post web site for shipping and the lowest rate is $97 to Isreal, sorry.
Got a relative from Toronto coming over for a visit soon?:)

Wow, I truly dont understand where these prices come from.
How much does a ColecoVision weight?

I've bought consoles & computers from other countries before (mainly Europe) and never had to deal with such shipping prices, not even close.

Colecovisions pop up for sale here in Holland quite often (I bought one a few months ago, and there were 4 for sale then). Shipping costs will be a bit cheaper than from the Americas, but sending a package from 5-10 kg to Israel still costs almost 60 euros... :thumbsdown:

Hi, I have one for sale too with 10 games, but unfortunately looked around for cheap postage to Israel but couldn't find any thing cheaper than 40 quids and takes 2 months to reach you, or 60 quids for 5 days!

it is not just the heaviness of the console, its power supply unit alone weighs 3kg approx. to post this only within uk standard costs 5 pounds, how about overseas, howe about registered, and how about the rest of the stuff!!

Alternativaly, just find yourself if you know one good & cheap courier to use, will sort it!

Yep, got one thanks to SunDown79 :)

@laramara:
I'm interested in the games, if you're willing to part with them separately.

@SkydivinGirl:

To be honest, my problem with most AtariMax products is their price.
I recently bought a new SD cart for the Atari2600 from AtariAge, it cost half of what AtariMax ask for the Coleco cart, including shipping.
Similar products for other systems are available around the same price point.
In the end, I just cant justify the expense on something I'm not going to use that much :)

Thanks for the offer though!

I totally understand. The high cost is mostly associated with the low number they actually sell. ColecoVisions are still somewhat popular but not enough to get the price much lower.

Its really strange, they seem to be popular in the US & Canada but hard to find in other countries.
In my country they were never even sold, didn't know they existed until about 15 years ago :)

Atari 2600 was king here, with not much competition (Philips G7000, VTech Creativision, Mattel Intellivision to name a few).
Back when I was a kid, nearly everyone I knew had one, same goes for the C64 which reigned supreme here.
