I am offering a pretty rare, used Commodore 1570 Floppy Disk Drive with manual in original packaging. When turning on power the Power LED turns on and the motor starts spinning. If you put in a floppy disk, however, the activity LED turns on and the floppy drive unsuccessfully tries to read data resulting in the "File not found" error message. No further testing. I assume the read/write header needs to be readjusted and cleaned. The drive is physically in very good shape and possesses only minimal traces of yellowing and use, but no ruptures or broken-off parts. The device should be cleaned and overhauled for safe operation. The original packaging is complete and includes both original styrofoam inserts. There is a power cable and the head vibration protector but no serial cable. Please check the attached photos carefully. No returns, no replacements, no warranties. This machine will be shipped in an additional cardboard box for protection. Local pickup preferred though.
