Available for sale is this (North American) Commodore 1581 Disk drive, in an original box. Comes complete with 1581 drive, copy of the 1581 Test Demo diskette, power supply, serial cable and original warranty documentation.
This drive comes to you meticulously clean, from a smoke free, pet free home. Currently thinning out some of my collection. This is my spare drive that has seen very little use.
I tested the drive, copied the contents of a disk to another drive, exercised the head from track 1 to 80 with no issues.
The drive comes equipped with an original JiffyDOS ROM, that was installed by the previous owner. The previous owner also put a small hole in the face of the drive that in no way affects the performance of the drive.
