Real life getting in the way again... :(

I'm getting those quotes now

@iRetrOVolver

C128d + 1571x2 + PSU + Books + cables etc = 13kg
Using Royal Mail with full insurances comes to £32
Parcel2Go Standard works out around a £5 cheaper but I've had bad experiences with them :(

@plonkor

Commodore 1084S monitor + book + cable etc = appox 12kg
Shipping via Yodel (Royal Mail not available) will be £16.50

Note: Due to this being on a restricted list, the monitor will not be insuranced, but will be packed and wrapped as so it can survive a bounce!

@djmat

1541-II drive + PSU + cable etc = 1.7kg
Delivery by Yodel will be £10, includes insurance

Can you quote me for both 1571 units? + Books + cables and also for just the working one.. if postage difference is just under 5 GBP I am cool with that. Have to take a pass on the C128 though :(

That's grand, let me know your paypal details, and give me a total price, inc delivery and paypal fees.

I'm surprised parcel force 24/48 isn't an option though as I've sent larger heavier parcels with that option insured before.

Still interested in the 1541-II if djmat doesn't take it.

Hi mate,
I'm interested. Just to clarify, this is the C128, PSU and scarf cable right?

Price update!

- SD2IEC in a great style to match the machine, comes with serial cable and is fully tested. This is only 2 months old! - Asking £40 (was £60 then £50)

- XU1541 in great condition (used to transfer disk images to real disks) - Asking £25 (was £45 then £35)

Aargh! Missed another 128. :-( Enjoy, Tajmaster!

Cool - I'd like to take the offer for both the 1571 drives

So £45 + £18,50... need to add some £££ for solid packaging?.. or do you have possibly the boxes they came in or some other military grade packaging :D

Sorry, I don't have the original boxes, but I have plenty of heavy buddlewrap, bubble packets are boxes! :) - all included in sale

I will make sure they can survive a bounce! :o

Got the package.. but tired like a dog.. tomorrow I check :thumbsup:

Who the hell am I trying to kid here ?!?... :picard

Had to see it.. Package looked like it could withstand a nuclear blast from within the hypocenter !!

After slicing almost my own fingers off and wondering when the packaging ends and the gear appeared.. I was in awe.. the drive (and the spare) look the sh*t !!! - I got some old yellow 1571 with a broken handle somewhere so that would get me two nice drives..

You sir.. you ROCK!! :bowdown:

Will leave my feedback now.. somewhere.. always hate the way that is done here.. @mods .. maybe a rate button of some kind instead of hiding it in some place less obvious? :whistle:

The place where it says 'Feedback: <number> reviews' below the username, just click on the <number> and you'll be there, so there basically is a rate button there..
