Closed Commodore 64 drive

I want a working commodore 64 extrenral floppy drive.

I've got an old 1541 which powers up but no idea if it can still read disks (this is an original drive of my own from the late 80's and worked when it was last stored in the loft). Price would be £15 plus postage if you wanted it.

I have a spare 1541. Given it have been in use until recently when i replaced it with a smaller 1541-II I can assure it is working. However the norwegian postage isn't kind to the economical status of the rest of europe, so I think there will be cheaper ways to obtain one.
