I am declaring interest. Are they easy to fit? I can solder, but generally it is following instructions.

Hi,

Opening the PSU can be the hardest part (differs from PSU to PSU). Replacing the board is pretty straightforward; desolder the four cables/wires (note position of the colored cables) and (desolder and) cut the pins to the stock voltage regulator cast into the resin. Then solder the wires/cables to the new board and check output voltage and polarity. Done!

Thanks for the info. Please put me on the list for the next batch. I am paranoid about my PSU killing my Breadbin.

Version 1.2 is now available!

Check first post for updated images and specs.

v1.2:
2x 3300uF smoothing capacitors (v1.0: single 4700uF)
Filter/choke coil with only 0.05v voltage drop@1A (v1.0: 0.1v@1A)
Power LED option – place for resistor and cables/header on board (v1.0: N/A)
Filter bypass solder bridge (v1.0 N/A)

Slight price increase ( €26 -> €28 ) due to higher component and shipping cost.

PM sent to: Probe, ecaredit and zedex82 (first in line)

Shipment received anemo, thanks. Great build quality, looks solid. Greetings from the Netherlands.

Hi. Arrived today and is top quality. I have little experience with C64 power supplies and mine is the black one that has been filled with resin. To get this out, I would probably smash the outer casing. Even then, I am not sure if I could get to the wires. I have watched various Youtube videos, but it looks like the outer casing gets smashed. If anybody still wants one of these PM me. It is unused and is packaged just how it came to me.

More boards are now in stock!

Sounds like you got one of those non-repairable PSUs totally filled with resin. I guess that these are junk once it fails unfortunately.

Slight price drop due to currency movements ( now €27, was €28 ).

Edit: 3 boards sold outside Amibay
