After a lot of hard work, blood, sweat, tears, sleepless nights and tellings off, I have finally restored, to full working order a very beautiful piece of kit, the Commodore CBM 8032-SK.

This super pretty piece of kit was designed by Porsche, thus is sweeping curves and grills. It looks amazing now that the case as been stripped down and deep cleaned. I didnt need to use any harsh chemicals in the end, so theres no risk of the case yellowing or becoming brittle, just hot water and elbow grease.

Like the title says, she has been tested and is fully working, including the keyboard which sounds like it is a rarity on its own.

The keyboard has also been stripped down and deep cleaned, involving removing all of the keys, individually cleaning, checking the springs, cleaning the PCB and checking every contact including a small resolder job.

I wont say she could pass for factory fresh as there are a few scuffs and marks where a knock has taken off the surface texture of the plastic but these in no way affect how pretty the machine is.

Now for the extras!

She will also come home with a DUAL 5.25inch floppy drive. Again, deep cleaned inside but not out as the case is metal and I didnt want to start it rusting. I cant test this as I have no 5.25 inch floppies, but the power lead has been replaced and it all looks and sounds ok, no data cable so I couldnt test it if I wanted to.

She also comes with a tractor printer! It doesnt print tractors I dont think. This has some heavy yellowing, and I have attempted to clean what I can see, but no ink or data cable means its a sold as seen again.

Based on the fact it is fully working now, comes with the keyboard which is rare on its own and has been fully restored to working order and comes with extras, I am thinking in the area of £1100, though there is some room for negotiation.

I am insisting on collection from the Midlands only due to the size and weight of the whole thing.

Ok, just for you guys. Ill weight her when I get home and try to find a way not to double the price!

Had a look at postage, cheapest I can find is £55.

Its 55kg total, too heavy for the places I use. I split it into 2, itll cost £26.50 per box.

If you want further details or sizes to arrange your own courier please let me know.

What's the price ? And I'm sorry but your 8032-SK has a problem. The screen shows b432 bytes free where it should be 31743 bytes free..

Regards, SAM

Really? I have shown these pictures to a fair few people and no one has ever said anything.

When I first got it she didnt even power up, so that escaped me completely!

I will look into it though, I am not in the market of scamming people.

And I was asking £1200, and I will be again when I get that issue sorted, probably a bad RAM chip, though I only really have experience with PC's.
