For sale a fully working Commodore A3640 CPU Card with full 68040/25Mhz (no EC, no LC) taken from an Amiga 4000/040.

The card has recently been recapped with ceramic capacitors and upgraded to v3.1.

The standard 50Mhz oscillator is socketed so you are one step closer to be able to overclock it (there is just a patch left to be made on R101 - see http://members.iinet.net.au/~davem2/overclock/a3640.html for details)

Asking 230 EUR + shipping + Paypal fees (unless paid as friend or via IBAN)

Tracked shipping to Italy is around 15 EUR, to most Europe around 25 EUR (ask for a quote based on your destination).

PM replied - at the moment the price is fixed to 230 EUR, sorry.

Declaring interest, but I have an A3000 and therefore a few questions:

* Do you know if the upgrade is done in a way that it's now a fully functional v3.1 board? According to this guide ( http://l8r.net/technical/t-a3640.shtml ) the chip at U209 should be revision -02.
* Is the heatsink of a higher model, and/or is it detachable?

Hi Hravnkel,

I don't know how to test it, this is how I got it...
I can see that the chip at U209 has been replaced so I assume it's rev -02 or -03, and there's also the modification at chip U200.

It looks exactly like in this page http://leblogdecosmos.blogspot.it/2010/03/a3640-iii.html so I guess it could also be a rev 3.2 but I have no way to tell it for sure so I *assume* it's at least rev 3.1

Regarding the heatsink, it's 15mm high and it looks like it's clipped to the processor so I assume it could be replaced... but again, as I have not installed it, I have no way to tell if there's glue between the processor and the heatsink, sorry.

Thank you for info! Hopefully it will fit no matter what but it's good to have options. I'd love to avoid opening holes in the drive carrier. :-)

normally this heatsink on this card is clipped without glue

I don't know how many people before me

Sorry Violo, I forgot to update the thread - the card has been sold to Hravnkel (already paid and prepared for shipment).

Hravnkel, will get back to you later today with the tracking number once the package is picked up.
