Hi,

I'm looking for a PAL Amiga 1000 in clean white condition and in full working order.

I am based in the UK and I would like to purchase this ASAP.

I can pay using Paypal.

Thanks.

Hey Crawff,

I've got one if you are interested. I'd be looking for around $85 + shipping. Since it is coming from the USA it may cost a lot for shipping.

Let me know. :)

Hi,

Would i be correct in assuming it is NSTC?

Would this be a problem for me as i have PAL games etc...?

If this isn't a problem then i would be interested. (depending on shipping cost)
If you have any pictures than that would be great.

Thanks!

The machine definitely defaults to NTSC but I'm not sure if it can do PAL mode. Perhaps one of the other Amiga gurus here could let us know.

Either way, I'll take some pictures tonight or tomorrow because it will be going up for sale either way. :)

Thanks!

Heather

No, the US A1000 will have serious issues with PAL games and the hardware is tied to either PAL/NTSC without a chance to modify.

There is both PAL/NTSC thin Agnus (Agnii?), but not an universal one like in the A500. Also the mainboards are completely different.

The PAL A1000 doesn't have a daughter board.

Other parts are fully interchangeable (floppy drive, mouse, case & keyboard). Only the power supply and mobo aren't.

Even the Workbench is tied to PAL or NTSC regions (versions 1.0, 1.1 & 1.2).

Needless to say that there's also the voltage factor (110v) which means you need a transformer in UK. Don't get me wrong here, if it weren't for extreme customs and shipping charges, i'd be purchasing stuff from across the pond more frequently. I've a permanent 110v 60hz installation in my 'lab' for the miggies, with a huge Westinghouse converter hidden in a closet, and power outlets in the room just for that! Here's a "hot spot" :D

@SkydivinGirl

Thanks for your offer but it appears that the NSTC version really wouldn't be suitable for me.Good luck with your sale though.

Thanks for the information guys....now someone must have a PAL Amiga 1000 for me!!

A1000

A1000

I have one fully working with keyboard and mouse slightly yellow.

Eject button missing from floppy drive i think one from a amiga 500 would do THE job.

Looking For € 100,- + postage

Crawff i do have a 1000 that i will be selling soon ish but you wont be interested as its NTSC and the keyboard is faulty. my main reason for the reply was this quote

No, the US A1000 will have serious issues with PAL games and the hardware is tied to either PAL/NTSC without a chance to modify.

its been a long time away from the amiga scene so my knowledge is not great on this at all but i do own 2 A1000 both are NTSC but one of em has been converted to PAL see pic of doc. ive put a couple of games through those machines and have worked fine but if you know of a game that will cause a problems with the NTSC A1000 i would like to test if can tell me a title of a game. i would also like to try this out on my converted PAL A1000
