The DMAC 390563-02 is not usable in A3000/A3000T mainboards. It is only for A2091 / A590 boards. I would be interested to learn how you tested this however.

Lol came here to say the same thing. This will NOT work in any kind of Amiga 3000.

Indeed, But a Super DMAC Rev. 2 (390537-02) is -in combination with Ramsey Rev. 4- usable in the A3000D. For the A3000T, a Super DMAC Rev. 4 (390537-04) in combination with a Ramsey Rev. 7 is required.

But this isn’t a SDMAC so this comment is irrelevant to this conversation.

DMAC - A590/A2091
SDMAC - A3000/A3000T

This chip is a DMAC.

Thanks for pointing that out – you’re absolutely right!
I simply made a typing mistake and listed it as A3000/A3000T compatible.
This 390563-02 actually came from a A590 and was tested there.
I’ll upload photos tomorrow – honest mistake, not intentional. 👍

My mistake came from the fact that I’ve stored all chips I tested some time ago together in one box, and when listing this one, I simply asked ChatGPT again which system it belongs to.
ChatGPT even stated that this chip is not meant for the A590 because it “only has 68 pins” – which is, of course, wrong.
My A590 is sitting right in front of me and clearly has an 84-pin socket with exactly the same 390563-02 chip installed.
I’ve got quite a few chips in that box, and all tested ones are in a separate section — so there will be more coming up soon that I no longer need. 😊

You can see the incorrect information from the AI in the photo below.
