Please send a PM after declaring interest - I don't always notice if someone replies to the thread and it gets buried in with all the other new posts. I won't miss the PM indicator.

@Bluecursor

Sending details now.

@kaini

Yes, in the OpenCBM package there is a .bat file that flashes the device. I'm at work now so I can't give you the exact filename but it was something obvious, maybe upgrade-firmware.bat.

Hello,

Im interested but have few questions first. Will mini xum 1541 work in Windows 10 x64 ? Are there any drivers for this OS?
How much time does it take to write one full .d64 to a real floppy disk using this device?

Thank you!

@R-Typer

I have not yet upgraded to Windows 10 so I can not say for sure. Works fine on W7 x64. It uses very common USB drivers so I'm 99% it will work with the same drivers, but perhaps someone here can confirm.

The time it takes to write a floppy is a couple of minutes on the 1571 - it may depend on the model of drive you are using. It is slower than reading.

@Athanor

Thank you, replying to PM now.

I can also confirm that it works fine under Win10 x64. I had to disable driver signature enforcement though to install the driver but once that was done, it works just like in Win7.

Received device today!!!

Works great in Windows 10 x64 bit!!! Drivers will install properly only if you boot Windows 10 in a mode in which driver signature enforcement is disabled. After the driver installation, just reboot and everything will work fine.

Writing a .d64 image speed is around 1.7 KB/s which is same as with my xm1541 serial cable. It takes 1:40 minutes to write a full .d64 image on an old 1541 drive. Which is great!!!

I am have a problem using my mini xum1541 and opencbm command cbmcopy to copy a file to a specific destination path. When putting a destination path it doesn't copy anything. Does this mean that I need to update the firmware? If so. How? And how when using Mac:osx?
