****SOLD*****

I recently pickled up a Commodore SX-64 "portable" computer along with a boxed C64 and boxed Amiga A1200. Given that both the C64 and Amiga had been incredibly well looked after I had high hopes for the SX-64 but when it was powered on the disk drive kicked into action and a bright and clear video signal showed on the integrated CRT, but alas no C64 boot screen.

I'm no expert on these systems so looking to sell on to a loving home as a restoration job. The system is really in excellent physical condition with a few caveats - one of the feet stands is missing on the case and there are some marks on the lid cover where two keyboard stand feet have been added (looks like removing the old glue shouldn't be a problem with some care). Pictures can be viewed on this imgur album:

Looking for £180 posted in the UK (collection preferred and given priority - from just outside Oxford - £150 collection). I can also look into shipping costs for Europe but keep in mind that this system is very heavy. Also open to trading for an Amiga multi-sync monitor.

*** Apologies I made a typo on the pricing - as I didn't factor in the cost of shipping in the UK given item weight ***

Thanks,
John

Thanks for the responses. Will work through those who responded in order but I'm going to favour someone who can collect as a) the machine is very heavy and b) I'm not sure it will do well in the post.

John

ok in that case I'll try to arrange collection.
Would courier pickup be ok?

I'm going to favour local collection as is it the simplest option for me. Sorry about that.

Ok I'll try to arrange it, hang on :)

Edit: Oh screw it. On to Iainjh.
Too bad, been looking for one for a while..

I would be interested if posted to UK

too far to collect sorry.

it would survive courier with £5 worth of bubble wrap so nothing can move inside the box.

then place that box in a bigger one and pad that too with peanuts, scrunched up newspaper or other absorbing material

if you package as though someone will drop from waist height you get no problem.

therefore £190 inc packing materials would be my offer so you're not out of pocket

can post you a box within a box crammed with foam peanuts if it helps. would just need dimensions of the unit.

If there was any doubt - I'm still interested if courier pickup becomes an option :)
