here is my latest toy , its a CommodoreC386SX-LT laptop which seems to be mostly on Japanese origin. Now i didnt get a PSU for this powerhouse of a machine so i have to make one as usual.
Now the 386 needs a 8 pin mini D plug to power the lappy and to charge the battery , needless to say i exepect the battery is long dead so i didnt bother with any of that side of things and simple added a 3.5mm jack plug (because its all i had) but to keep it retro i used a mono jack ;-)
anyway after what seems all night , here she is running and bolted back up .
The screen is B/W and it seems to have no sound other that beeps. no PS2 mouse but its got VGA out.
all the keys work and the hard drive has DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.1 on it so it seems ready to handle the modern world
ohh and the optional modem too.
Specs
Intel 80386SX
16 MHz
4 Mbyte RAM, 128 kbyte ROM
9,75'' monochrome LCD
Parallel, Serial, VGA, modem
