I'm selling a fully working Compaq ProLinea 4/66 base system (no keyboard or monitor). The CPU is a 486DX2 running at 66MHz. The system has 12MB of RAM and CHKDSK reports 212MB of hard disk space.
.
Good choice, I had one of these and I think it has onboard Tseng VGA (very good) and cacheram,
Mine was a Dx33 and it outperformed a DX2-66 I had with doom, very smooth for a DX-33, this DX2-66 I bet would cope with duke3D
A cd rom will fit and because there is no sound = no conflicts and drop a SB16 or AWE32 (it will fit) great machine and compact (as in the name) and strong enough for a monitor to sit on top.
yes i got one sx-25 but kept randomly stopping during the ram check at boot even naked just psu or with a dx33 cpu also during a game go to a black screen,, gave it away for someone else to look at and worked flawlessly for them pfft!!
would like another one if I got the chance just for the size and the VGA is brilliant for doom style games as its darn fast and detected a large HDD no issues. (well big for a 486)
both have the horrid Trident VGA the P75 couldn't even play full screen video as it didnt support overlay many memories squeezing an awe32 in it for warcraft 2, doom and duke3d link ups
