- IBM 486 upgrade larger
- IBM 486SLC2 upgrade smaller
- IBM 486SLC2 upgrade FRU 61G2099

- Co processor plug, a small plug that probably is priceless for the right person. Seems to have been used in IBM PS/2 ( http://compgroups.net/comp.sys.ibm.ps2.hardware/hypertec-research-386-sx-daughterbo/2182888 ) $5 Pictures :

- IBM FRU 92F0078, IBM PS/2 cpu module 386SLC. Some pins bent and will probably break when bending back. CPU is missing, sold as is. $10

- Kingston SX/20GAM 386 upgrade, Looks like a 286 to 386 upgrade. $30

- IBM 486SLC2 upgrade smaller, guessing a bit here as I can't find a FRU number. IBM CPU and marked 20/60.

- IBM 486SLC2 upgrade FRU 61G2099, actually a 486SLC3 Processor Upgrade according to http://ps-2.kev009.com/eprmhtml/eprmx/h12544.htm The heatsink have been twisted off, bending the legs of the CPU. Sold as is for parts or repair. $10

Requested by Xanxi
- IBM 486SLC2 upgrade FRU 10G7103 V1.5, have a couple of these. Some in better shape than other and some with 387 fitted. $20 visually ok with 387, $15 visually ok without 387, $10 minor problem like broken pin without 387.

You got the Co processor plug but you have to tell us what it does. :-)

IBM 486SLC2 upgrade smaller is correct, top and bottom side. Don't know if it really is a "IBM 486SLC2 upgrade" but I used that name the night I went through the box. I might have seen something while googling to find out anything.
But you have seen it, and that is really all I know about it.

Now we just have to wait for Xanxi to have his say.

- OK maybe im confusing because of that empty socket beside the CPU (that isnt fit to a 286 PLCC socket, as i think before, so what is it for? Maybe missing support chip?)

My guess it's a socket for a small math processor. It's 80 pins and there is no traces of anything have been sitting in it. The socket is complete and when you open it you take the top off and that's still there.

I have to pass on the 486SLC upgrades i have stated interest in, because they all seem to be PGA type. I need only PLCC clip-on upgrade.
Thanks anyway.

Indeed the PLCC empty sockets are for the FPU.

I'll declare an interest in 3 items; -

- Co processor plug
- Kingston SX/20GAM 386 upgrade
- IBM 486 upgrade larger

Hi there,

I'n not so sure about this... the reason I need it is for the IBM machine that I have. It may have other functions... but I doubt it as proprietary parts generally only works with their respective OEM hardware.

Hi there,

I'm going to withdraw interest on those CPU adaptors and stand aside to let someone else go for them. The Co-pro is taken already and is required for the 486 PS/2 board.

All the best.

  • AM486-DX4-120
  • AM486-DX5-133
  • AMD 386 40Mhz (if it's a PGA type)
  • Any two cheapest 387's (PLCC type).
  • One or two 486 upgrade packages you might have left...

Do you have an ET4000 ISA card at all? I'd also be interested in one or two of those.

If you could PM the deets that would be super. Thanks in advance.
