CR2032 battery details

Hey JuvK

the + on the A4000 Mobo, is the side that was attached to 2 pins

and the CR2032 is perfect for the job.

don't forget to add a diode so the battery won't be charged (it's not a chargable battery)

uuummm what diode and where does it go?

is there a guide on line somewhere to do this?
 
you can see the diagram in pic 1 and I've created a simplified diagram in pic 3

I've chosen a 1n4148 diode since it's pretty common here but anyone will do as long as they can withstand +12v on the katode , I recommend that you get one that can withstand atleast +20v

the diode has a black ring in one of the ends, that one is the Katode, which is the side furthest away from the battery (in my drawing)

I hope this makes sense.. let me know if you have no idea what I'm talking about.. then I'll make some new drawings :-)
