Mint is an expression to denote the quality of pre-owned goods with "virtually no imperfections". And Pristine being "relitive to it's orginal state", so i guess there's nothing wrong with the Mint condtion being used here, even if something is missing.

The main problem is everyone's version of mint/pristine/excellent/good etc will differ. My only advice here is, if you're not happy with the condtion, give it a miss.
