Custom Build Hot Rod BBC Master 128 Special

This BBC Master belongs to a good friend of mine and had suffered a nasty mishap, something had fallen on top of it cracking the case in a few places and bending the keyboard out of place.

His Brief was that if it can be repaired then use it as a basis to create an Ultimate Master 128 Platform....
I have uploaded quite a few pictures of the system being rebuilt from scratch...

The Power Supply needed serious attention too as well as the usual Capacitor replacement.

So... Here goes


Built in Turbo MMC unit with easy rear access

Built in Prototype IDE Interface with 512MB CF Card

Built in Prototype Triple MOS system with rear 3 position selector giving the Options of MOS 3.20, MOS 3.50, MOS 1.20.
Each Mode has a custom image including ADFS IDE Drivers and in BBC 32K mode built in Turbo MMC, a working DFS and ADFS IDE drivers too.

Modified Keyboard with Green Power LED and Blue HD Activity replacing the shift lock LED.

Built in Match Box Co Processor attached to External Tube providing the following Co Processor Platforms.
65C102 up to 32MHz
Z80 up to 112MHz, running Acorn CPM 2.2
80286 at 16MHz, DRDOS and GEM installed and boots from HD
6809 at 4Mhz
68000 at 16MHz
ARM2 at 32MHz -- Runs BBC ARM Basic

Built in Gotek Floppy Emulator with HXC Firmware, USB socket and UP/DOWN buttons accessed on right side.
Status Displays above Cartridge slots.

She is a beaut and I am quite envious in wanting one.

Looks al....right I guess. What it really needs to finish it off in my humble opinion is a tri-coloured LED so you get a different coloured power light depending on which MOS system you have selected

Mmm the tricolor LED is a good idea, especially if you are too blind to see the screen from too much self abuse or just simply havent learnt to read or write yet..
