I recently needed a PCI wireless card and wanted to use a D-Link DWL-520+ for this. Unfortunately, it turned out that it doesn't support WPA2. Closer inspection revealed that the card is really a mini-PCI laptop card installed in a PCI adapter!
Since I had plenty of Intel 2200BG cards lying around, I decided to try and make it work with one. It took some soldering and the antenna cable is a bit too long to fit under the metal shield but it works. The only downside is that it doesn't work with 64-bit version of Windows 7. At least I couldn't find a way to make it work.
Cheers
