So, I’m in the process of repairing the Delfina Plus sound card I bought a while back. The Lattice and Crystal chips had been de-soldered and re-mounted in a previous repair/arrive by a third party, and that, I suspect, killed the card. Also, the memory had been soldered directly to the card, doing away with the sockets.

I replaced the Crystal chip and re-positioned the Lattice chip, and now the machine booted without issue. Many pads had been damaged in the past under the Crystal chip, but only one was of consequence and I repaired this.

Now I only need to replace the through hole resistor near the sound in- and output sockets. The only through hole resistor in the board. This resistor was unfortunately burned and the slight charring made it impossible to determine the value.

Has anyone here a similar board and can tell me the value, alternatively post a picture with the color bands of the resistor clearly visible?

Thanks! I have high hopes for this repair, and I thank the seller for the opportunity I got to purchase this legendary piece of Amiga kit.

Great Job and your very welcome!

I hope you get it up and going and enjoy the card. It was my favorite card for the Amiga (known to be a bit persnickety, which added to the fun of it).

Since your on a roll, try tracking down the Petsoft people and maybe update the drivers :).

You are welcomed to update my Delfina Plus/Lite setup guide as well.

It was repaired once when it stopped working and the memory wasn't making a solid connection. That is why the sockets were deleted. It then stopped working in my Amiga and I sent it out again for repair and he was unable to get it running again.

I have a zorro Delfina lite which is non working. If inserted in my A2000 it shorts the computer and the atx does not work anymore until plugged and unplugged. Any idea what could be at fault here?
The card looks fine cosmetically.
I hope to send it for repairs after the summer holidays.

Ok, Rimmer here you go:
Red Brown Silver Black Black Red

That is the color stripes for a Delfina Plus resister.

Not sure if it makes a difference the first red is thicker than the others.

Ok, lets get this working for you!

Ok, so maybe I was a little quick here.

If the *first* band in your description is indeed a little thicker than the rest, it’s the “tolerance”-band, and should be read last.

That makes it red-black-black-silver-brown-red, which is a 2 gigaohm resistor. That’s quite an interesting value.

Do you have a picture for this? The colors can be very hard to distinguish.

Thanks again.

As far as I can tell it's actually 2.0 Ω resistor, which would make a lot more sense. ;-)
red-black-black = 200
silver = × 0.01 Ω
brown = 1% tolerance
red = 50ppm temperature coefficient
