So, I just went crazy on flea*** and bought a DKB MegaChip with what I *hope* is the correct Agnus for my Amiga 3000D… pictures below. The title of the auction was “DKB MegAChip Plus 2000/500 1MB ChipRam Amiga 500+2000 8372B 318069-03 Expansion”, so I assumed we were talking about *the* 318069-03 Fat Agnus 🫣

Now, I’d like for this purchase to be not only a source of a Fat Agnus for the 3K, but also a working MegaChip for my A2000.

Question is - which versions of Agnus would work in this DKB, is the destined system was a 2000 or 500 system in PAL country?

Thanks for all your help! 🙏🏽

PS - feel free to mock my stupidity if this Fat Agnus does not fit the A3000D - after all, it’s only hard earned money 💸🙄🔫

Not really; I find there is so much contradictory information out there.

But what I gather is that the -10 should work for PAL and the 8375 390544-01 from the PAL 500+ also.

So I believe @rimmer want the Angus out of this megachip for an A3000 and want to know if an A500+ angus would then work in this megachip

I didn't understood.
Agnus from megachip will work in A3000. But for his megachip as in mine only 8372b or 8372ab will work.
8375 or others from A500+ will NOT work. They are not pin compatible.

Ok, and that’s also confusing, because there are different opinions and experiences with the DKB and Agnus chips from the A500+.

I’ll just have to wait and see / test

Are there any chance of frying either the chip or the DKB / Amiga with the wrong, incompatible chip?
