So good news is the Elbox Eflash is back in stock on the Elbox website but the bad news is they still haven't updated it's software!!!.

It states in the advert, comes with the new eflasher software but when you click on the link it takes you to the "New Eflasher Software" dated 2004

Come on Elbox get with the times we want to be able to use our Amiga OS 3.2 ROM files now, not just the 3.9 update. Oh if anyone know how to do this let me know 🤣🤣🤣

I would have bought one but the shipping costs to the UK are astronomical.

Has anyone else taken the plunge.

Does this store kickstart roms. Never seen one before.

What advantage does it have over the mutli kickstart with switchers?

It stores the AmigaOS 3.9 update so no reboot with 3.1 ROMs

It can also store libraries to boot them at start up so you could have USB drives showing at the start and stuff like that

Thanks for replying, it sounds useful for my 060 A4000. Will have a look

Great to see some activity on Elbox Computer side!
I have an eFlash4000 ( 2 mb)
card I bought about ten years ago.
I just downloaded the new eFlash tools
from Elbox site;
the eFlash test program did seem to work, but I was unable to flash any
new contents to my card.
I got a "bad memory allocation" error
message.
When I re-installed the older versions
( those were the versions updated once years ago), the re-flashing was working again ( I have been using the eFlashUtil by Thomas Rapp).
I contacted Elbox Support and was told that they haven't been testing the new versions of eFlash tools with their older cards yet, but will do that.
Has anyone else tested these recently
updated eFlash tools with an eFlash card of an older version ?

I ordered 2xeFlash and 2xFastATA 4000 last night. Expensive yes but I decided the FastATA seemed like a better choice compared to the Buddha alternative.

Got to agree I Bought the FastATA new for my 4000 and have never looked back mind you did try the New Buddha and was shocked at how bad it was compared to previous versions. the Eflash is interesting never really saw the point but as Tim has offered some insight maybe time to revisit it LOL. Elbox seem to have been very very quiet whilst the rest of the Community is getting on with it, Hopefully they make a comeback they are the best ones for what they do would be nice to see a PCIe version of the mediator and even dare I say it an accelerator card for it It too.

I have found in this retro hardware community when something becomes avaliable you have to jump on it lest they sell out and never restock. Case in point the Highway USB Pro Zorro cards. Those are all now sold out. Put my name on the ReA4091 SCSI controller………exciting times we live in.

I would be shocked to see a PCIe daughterboard as that would be a massive undertaking and what about the driver situation. It would be nice to be able to use readily avaliable and cheap PCIe cards though

Yeah your right there but hey we live in hope PCI is now so long in the tooth and getting harder to get what were common cards in the day now. Plus the scalpers are buying up everything too. I would like an A600 case and keyboard but its got so its easier to wait for the likes of A1200 net to come up with new cases. Not sure if Elbox even have the expertise now to build anything new it seems like they just tinker around the edges really

I don’t know about Elbox’s ability to develop new products but we can be happy that we have what we have 20+ years after Commodore imploded.
