Electric desoldering vacuum pump

Does anyone use an electric vacuum solder remover / pump .

Ideally it should be hand held with a remote pump I.e not all on the gun?

If so how much & where from?

eBay is full of Chinese things but are they junk?

It's the one Zetr0 told me to get, he uses a more heavy duty one but this should do the trick for us minions

Try getting the same tool from CPC (http://cpc.farnell.com/jsp/search/productdetail.jsp?sku=SD01384) - is is £12 cheaper once VAT has been added.

This is a bit odd because CPC & Farnell are the same company.

I work 5 minutes from CPC and its the first time I have ever found anything cheaper than Farnell - I am tempted to get one of these for myself - knowing my luck they will be out of stock.

I have a Weller Weller IG 101 + WTCP-S which I don't use anymore. The IG 101 is the vacuum desoldering pump and the WTCP-S is the soldering station. If anybody is interested PM me with an offer.

My brother very kindly bought me a duratool 80watt desoldering station from farnell today and best of all it was £40! Reduced from £90 as the box was damaged / no instruction and a dent

Used it today to solder a SIMM socket in an Apollo 1240/60
