Mine arrived today, thank you r0jaws. :)

If you do another one later this year, I am in! Hopefully by then Krikzz will have worked out the voltage related kinks and have a Gameboy Everdrive ready for us. :)

You're welcome. TBH I was just looking at my consoles, I have an everdrive for everything that they are available for except the NES, and I would be made up with an Atari 7800 version and a Gameboy version.
I think I could probably be happy with that. ;)

Hello again,

I am having a bit of an issue with my GG ED. I have the roms divided up alphabetically into folders and for some reason my "A" folder was not showing up. I moved all those roms into the "B" folder and now that folder is invisible so I am guessing it's not happy with one of the roms beginning with A (or the 5 in 1). Can anyone see anything obviously wrong here? My first thought was the filename lengths maybe being too long but it's not that.

I would take out all non-alpha numerics if you can. FAT supports upto 255 characters, so you should be Ok.

Its been a while since I used my Game Gear one, but you may find that the A's maybe at the end. I think sometimes it stores items by the time they were copied across, not alphabetically.

Okay through process of elimination I have worked out that there is nothing wrong with the files. I tried dividing the A roms in half (A1 and A2) and they all showed up but then the B folder vanished. I then put the A roms all in the same folder and divided the B roms in half (B1 and B2) and while those two folders show up, the A roms are now missing.

I don't have enough folders to the fill the screen.

I will try formatting the SD card again, I can't think of anything else to do.

The gentle ringing of a bell is going off in the back of my head. I think there is a limitation in the amount of files in a folder/ amount of folders. I do remember doing some fannying about before I could get everything to appear correctly.

im sure its 128 files per folder iirc, also wont play files in a zip too, have you reformatted your memory card too and tried again?

I don't know, I think the S folder would have gone too if the number of files in one folder was a problem.

I tried consolidating A-C in one folder in case of a folder number limitation but then that vanished too!

If a format doesn't fix it I will see if changing from No-Intro to GoodGG will help.

Still no luck post-format.

I have the No-Intro GG romset on my everdrive GG with no problems at all. I just did as you did and added the roms into alphabetical folders.
