Do you know the biro trick? You can make a gamebit from a biro. Its an oldie, but goodie
Never known that to work properly. Infact I had to take a power drill to a gamecube recently to drill out the half inch of rock solid melted garbage that a previous owner had tried to use to open the case up with.
I gave it a go years ago, and after getting nowhere just forked out the couple of quid it cost me to buy a set of gamebits.
They are dead handy for all sorts of cartridges and consoles, so well worth it TBH.

Just to let you know, the biro trick does work and I have never had it leave a residue.
I don't think I'm doing anything special.
Just remember the plastic doesn't have to be on fire, just pliable.
