Okay, after a lot of thought and consideration and with pain in my heart I'm putting up my trusted piece of hardware for the simple reason I have no time for her anymore (and her rack-mounted sister is basically all I need :D).

So, what's up for grabs?

Falcon 030
TOS4.04
14mb RAM
CT60 @ 66mhz with 192mb RAM
picoPSU
dual CF-card instead of HDD (no CF card included!)
1.44mb floppy drive (I don't know why I actually mention this :D)
Eiffel for PS2 mouse and keyboard
VGA adapter
(might even have the co-processor fitted, but I'm too lazy at current to take it apart)

All this is encased in a sexy plexi casing with a flip top in the shape of the Falcon, so you can drewl over the mobo, the lights, take stuff out, etc. etc. etc. The plexi isn't glued, but screwed so you can change out stuff, drill more holes, perfect it further, whatever you want!

Idd, this is a fully functioning show piece with all the goodies on it to actually get some work done!

I'm looking for 700,- euro ex shipping. I accept paypal but a bank transfer is cool too. Expect shipping to be around 30 euro inside EU, outside it COULD even double!!

Pictures only go to people who are actually interested in buying and have the money for it and yes, it's a lot of money, but consider buying all these items seperate and you'll most likely have to spend way more.

To avoid senseless discussion from non-buyers.. ;)

Not that I don't like that, but I'm just way too busy for it. People who are really interested can still opt out after seeing images.

Ah yes, forgot to mention that I'm only selling to users and not to traders, so sorry Jon, but this will never ever come your way.

I have no problems with admins, but Commodore people trading in Atari stuff on the other hand.............

But anyone truely interested wouldn't mind receiving an email with some proper images.

check the attachment for an idea of the casing and that was when I was halfway constructing it.

Dear Fonz

Thanks for your PM,
I'm going to decline your very kind offer to email me some pictures on the basis that this is a public forum and the whole point of asking pictures to be posted within the thread is so that there is some clear and straight forward illustrations of what I would be paying for as a record of the transaction, which I don't believe is too much to ask considering the amount we are talking about.

You seem to have posted this thread with some sort of mindset that anyone posting here would not really be interested in buying your wares...

On that Basis, I'm out...

Good luck with your sale..

TC :coffee:

Man...you don't know me :) So pls stop writing replies like "this will never ever come your way " to my serious meant posts without watching behind the wall :) Only reason for such a comment is to offend

Besides business I have an own, huge collection. And I pay very good prices for things I wanna have for me. So, I really had interest in that item. And of course you should know that reselling that not cheapo item won't make sense (business wise) HAHA.

But, my serious interest turned to no interest. Don't want to deal with persons with such a unrespectful behaviour

Oh and...pls bear in mind that I only did what you wanted...declaring my interest seriously. A buyer, who was even interested without pics (saying, the reason for no pics is to avoid senseless discussions of non-buyers is hilarious btw).

I wish you good luck with the sale anyway

Uhu.. Which is true up 'till now.. I personally wouldn't generalize THAT much tho...

But in essense: yeah I'm raising a barrier to scare off people who really can't afford it.

I had discussions over 5 euro mobo's in which the sale fell through because the proposed buyer finally came to the conclusion he had no money. Now I'm not looking to get rich, but I do have other things I would rather do then to entertain Atari minded people (whom I love, no doubt).

OR, to put it even simpler, people who don't know what a CT60 is shouldn't buy this machine even if it looks hella cool!

Frankly, the conduct in this thread appalls me. If you are genuinely looking to sell this, you would be accommodating of your interested parties. Refusing to post pictures because you have assumed all interested parties will be timewasters isn't going to do you any favours. Amibay has been the successful host for four-figure transactions, we have a lot of genuine collectors here and we have rules in place to deal with timewasters.

Good luck with your sale, it looks like you might need it...

Dear Andy,

2 pages in and up till now only people who are truely not interested, a baiter whom I seriously approached as a buyer and offered to send some images, and a self-admitted trader... And I wasn't even out to make a point..

How I part with my machine is my business and I choose to NOT put the images in rotation on the internet at first, so any new owner can truely claim its' his/hers after having seen the pictures.

Furthermore, like I said, if you don't know what a CT60 is, then don't buy this machine. Tons of reasons for it, but all are good. It's like a Hayabusa; if you don't know what it can do, it will probably get you killed or it's a complete waiste of your money! Ebay would call it 'buyer protection' and that's just what it is.

Last but not least; you, as an admin, should have actually corrected your admin buddy who first declared interest, only to try and make a point over something which does not exist! No serious buyer will have any problem receiving images by mail and there is no rule stating I'm forced to put up an image (or did I happen to miss that line?), so why go there? So we can end up here?

Lastly: don't take stuff personal which isn't personal. If I was into stats I would have posted it on Ebay, but I'm trying to get a very specific item to the right atari nut (so actually if it were personal, you could have taken that as a compliment!).

So, to cap off, I'm selling a top notch machine in a hand-crafted casing. Anyone truely interested can stick by the rules and declare interest in the topic so they will receive images on their email address. This way a prospect buyer can even ASSURE that the images are LEGIT (I've got to force myself not to go there; one luv Heather! :D).

@FonZ

We are a community here, I am sure you didn't mean to insense any members, but there have been complaints of this thread - that it is not in keeping with the community ethic or spirit of AmiBay'scommunity. After reading this thread four times, I still cannot understand why you wouldn't add pictures to this thread.

You claim that you will only post these to interested parties, well to be quite honest anyone whom looks at this thread should be interested in this - hence posting pictures in the thread saves you time and effort. I must say that you would do much better with some pictures and more open attittude to trading with fellow members, remember Staff and Traders are members too.

Traders cannot buy for purpose of resale on AmiBay it is against the rules, and this rule extends to every member here - there have been some members in the past that flouted this rule, they have been banned, named and shamed by the community.

I do urge you to re-consider you position on whom you wish to trade with, aguably you should have a viable reason as to why you wont trade with some one (i.e. a matter of conflict or trust) an in such cases you should disucss this matter with a staff member.

We wont force you to sell to anyone you dont want to, but if you do not treat your fellow members openly, honestly and fairly then you may face limitations upon your account.

@thread

As SkyDivnGirl has mentioned before, please keep this thread on track, other disucssions will be moderated (see unapproved...)

Dear Zetro,

A. Nowhere did I state I wouldn't sell to admins. I even sent your admin buddy a message asking where he would like his HI RES IMAGES to be sent to, but he refused and rather see some GDLib resized images in his browser and thus decided his years of quest would end over that.
B. I've put it on this site, because I thought traders weren't eligable for purchase. If I'm mistaken, I appologize, but I do not want to sell to traders even if they are not marked by this site as being a trader. Why? Because I'm already asking a hefty price and a truely interested person would only be set back further if they have to go through a trader. I know, maybe not the amibay community spirit, but it is a community spirit nonetheless.
C. There are people out there actually looking for such a setup and these kind of people will have way more questions then just seeing some random images.
D. I'm not in a hurry to sell, I have nothing to hide and I think it's pretty clear of what I'm looking for in a buyer, so if that's not open and fair to you or anybody else, so be it.

Have a nice day.

Yop but buyer ,like me for example is interesred about case and some other things, few pictures made clerar situation. Sorry but 700 euro is big money for Falcon in black bag and assembly DIY,

This is completely ridiculous. Your cellphone probably has a camera on it. It takes two seconds at the least, less time than it took you to Argue On The Internet about it at the very most to take a picture of the thing.

On another forum I frequent, their trading section has a nice little hard-and-fast rule: "If selling for over 50 sticks, a picture you must affix". The reasons for this are obvious, and you don't get to belittle them just because Nigeria doesn't know what a CT60 is. Now stop being an Atari Fatty and take a freaking picture of your incredibly expensive obsolete computer that you want people to pay you a lot of money for.
