Hi everyone,
Let me state first off that this is a 'fantasy' hardware post - this isn't fact at all, just me thinking out loud
.
I was just thinking if Jens ever made another iteration of the Indivision ECS, additional features I would love to see are HDMI but the small form factor plug as seen on the Xbox360 & PS3. But just to put the cat amongst the pigeons, I would love it to have AGA emulation so if the Amiga in question was equipped with an 020 or above it would be possible to play AGA games on a ECS machine
.
I guess I got onto this train of thought thinking about the buzz that was about a couple of years back trying to get a RTG emulation for 256 colours on current Indivision ECS - the ultimate solution in relation to compatibility has to be AGA maybe?
I'm guessing this would be possible as Cloanto effectively know exactly what the chip 'does' in emulation - maybe some wizardry could be done to apply this to a physical chip? Obviously cloning AGA chip would likely be illegal i'm guessing?
A Saturday morning topic
