Fast Amiga 1000

Here is my version of a Rom switcher for the Amiga 1000. Along with a little speed and a lot of memory.
I am not on here much so others have probably tried this already, but felt like sharing.

NIce Didnt know the ACA500 worked on the 1000

The ACA500 *may* work on/in an A1000.
Your mileage may vary.

Sometimes it does sometimes not.

Consider yourself lucky if it does.

When I was at the Manchester Play Expo event last year, I had this discussion with the guys on the AmigaKit stand - the general thought is that whilst the ACA500 may work on the A1000, it could "cause damage" to the ACA500 due to timing issues. They weren't much more specific than that to be honest and I've not found any evidence to either confirm nor deny these claims.

However, when I tried it on my A1000, it did NOT work ...... mind you, nor did my bsc Alpha Power IDE controller, so not sure if the expansion connector on my A1000 is the problem here.

I did not know if it would work or not, but did not see any reason why it wouldn't so gave it a shot. I don't know what kind of
damage it could cause unless you plugged it in wrong or something. I probably should of read up on it before just doing it,
but it has ran great since, no lockups or any other abnormal thing.

Jens has made a few comments about that every once in a while.

It comes down to luck with the A1000.
