Yes, I am the king of anti-social websites, but I broke down and got a Twitter account. If you have no life and want to follow my pathetic one, the feed or name is GlenVDB1

Oh well, another sheep for the flock....

Baa! No Faacebook though! Too much CIA involvement for my liking:shhh:

Besides now I can follow the inside info from AmigaKit's Tweets, not to mention Dave and Bil (Haynie and Herd)

I broke down a long time ago... havent logged into my Twitter account since creating it though...

I fear too many twits may make a Tw:censored:t.

Finally broke down. - PMSL!!

Standing fast here. No fArsebook & certainly no Twatter. (ROFL AmiNeo)

I could also add, no MSN Messenger either. :pissed:

I 'spect all my internet activity is still being monitored, but certainly not via the above. :ninja:

@ Kinny

Why so aggressive to MSN mate? You don't want to talk with me?

I hate phones, costs too much.:)

I don't really understand why people have so much against social networks. I use Facebook everyday, usually just to post some random comments on people's statuses or posting a link to some Youtube movie or something. The only personal thing on my page is my name and the city I live in. What the hell is the CIA/MI6/Mossad/KGB going to do with that information?

I think online banking is more dangerous for my privacy than a Facebook post saying "Hi! I'm Eric from Vleuten and I really like this music video from Mastodon!"

You people are way too paranoid.....

I might do a Skype session with you. VOIP with a Web camera can be fun, but then that depends on your Internet connection. I can't stream Video in the evenings. Well, I can download a 30 second clip in like 5 minutes if I pause it, so what chance do I have of uploading Video, unless it's about the same size as a postage stamp.

Naa m8. - Perhaps over-cautious but definitely not paranoid. :coffee:

I used to be the same but have recently got a Facebook account - I don't post anything I do on there though and where I've been (just to keep in contact with family/friends) - that would just be too stupid (I don't fancy having someone burgle the house if they know I might be out somewhere having dinner!)

I'm @AndyLandy on twitter... If anyone actually wants to know about things like whether I had bacon for breakfast, or other such mundane aspects of my life.

Does the monkey have his own twitter account yet?

I am thinking of starting an "anti-social" network.
Here is the jist.
when you first sign up, we ask you a thousand personal questions. really obscure ones, like what kind of socks you like, does your toilet paper roll unravel from the top or bottom etc. We are right up front that we will sell all that info to anyone who will give us money for it, even if its a nickle from the paperboy.
Then once you finally get though all the data mining, you set up your "page" same as facebook, only EVERYONE can see everything. Your misssion is then to "un-friend" people as fast as you can. instead of giving a "poke", you can send a "finger" to other people. and every time someone new comes on, you have to "un-friend" them also. So locking down your page, becomes a full time chore.
The only way to "Win" is really no to sign up for the service in any way.
Advertising:
The actual profile page will only be 10% of the screen, the rest will be the most annoying flash ads and banner ads we can possibly sell like "punch the monkey". We will hire the "Bonzi Buddy" team to develop "Bonzi's cousin" a nice, lovable virus to heartwarming infect your system with "nice, heat-filled, malware"

I have a twitter account, but I dont actually post anything to it!

I do use it however to follow other people on Twitter that I find interesting, for example my favourite comedians (Patton Oswalt, Conan O Brian, etc) or authors (Alasdair Reynolds, Ken MacLeod) or even people I know who work in the same part of the IT industry as me.

You often find some quite interesting information. Unfortunately I dont have anything worth contributing in return :D:lol:
