You don't need an adapter, simply pull out the Denise, put the IndiECS in the Denise-socket and put the Denise itself on it, that's all! :)

Thanks, that's great! I have the manual somewhere and I'm sure I recall there being printed instructions :)

It is working in this way in my A2k flagship! :)

but there may be some problems with A2k board revision 4.3, I think...

it seems, you have a full ECS machine (Rev 6.x) so there is no problem with any caps...

Nice one Steve, the GVP Combo is by far the best card for it, if you manage to get that extra memory, than get rid of the other cards that have memory on it, makes it really fast.

I also recommend using it's SCSI bus, it will be a lot faster with a Guru Rom on it, you can get up to 4MB/sec if you connect a good 10K rpm disk to it.

Thanks for the extra info guys :)

It looks like my A600 can keep the ECS as I have found a Picasso II for this one!

I'm lucky as one of my LCD's can display native resolutions as 15khz so I will pass straight through the Picasso with a RGB-VGA cable.

Will update the project page once I get the Picasso II and will try to max out the GVP

ps. I might try the HDD via SCSI-IDE off the GVP...

Steve.

Expect mr Stevo with one of the 14 PPC add-on ever made for Blizzard 2060 in the next months.

OS4.1 on A2000!

Ahh, the reason I purchased a safe!

Unfortunately, OS4 doesn't support this card at all. not when in an A2000 on a the Blizzard 2060 and it isn't even supported in an A4000 on a Cyberstorm.
MorphOS runs on this card in either configuration, however. (and also PowerUP/WarpOS)

And no, it is not for sale :p
Maybe, just maybe, if someone was to offer up a DKB Wildfire I may be tempted to trade my 2060ppc combo for that.

Nice, gotta love the A2000. Surprised this is your first one! I have like 7! LOL.

Tempted to use my PicassoIV in it, but it's a bit of a waste and I can't bring myself to break out the scan doubler/flicker fixer :butcher

Find one already broken, then add a GVP or Blizz 2060 and enjoy. PIV and '060 in the 2000 is an amazing combo.

As tempting as it is I already have two A4000's and an A4000T who of which have 060's so I thought to keep the A2000 a little more simplistic...

Then again if a DKB Wildfire came up I might have to open my wallet :ninja:

Awesome

Awesome

Well Steve
Looks like another Max out system coming up LOL you know your gonna.

I had one a long time ago with the Blizzard 060 and a picasso card it was the worst thing I did getting rid of her. The A2000 was so easy to work with.

Good luck with her she will never let you down.

Al:thumbsup:

Looks like a nice project there, Steve. :)
The A2000 is a bliss to install upgrades. It's a bit of monstrosity though, if you don't mind me saying. That's why I let go of my A2000 and started looking for an A4000 instead.

Got a couple of new bits for my A2000 project this week :)

A Picasso II:

I'm having trouble getting an output under KS2.0 so I'm waiting for a KS3.1 chip to turn up, hoping that will solve my issues by allowing me use Picasso96 (which you can't with <3.0)

I also got a 4mb GVP Simm for my GVP 030/Combo, here she is (pictured for the first time) modeling said new Simm (I've not checked it's in the right socket so don't worry if I've put it in the wrong one ;))

And here's what they'll look like when installed :)

I've also taken the opportunity since she's opened up to clean the case/cover too :coffee:

That's all for now, project is on hold until I get the 3.1 Rom and my Highway USB back from Michael Boehmer

Then the real fun starts :ninja:

Nice red power LED A2000. :)

However, a true classic A2000 is complete only with a bridgeboard. Get yourself an A2286, A2386 or GoldenGate.

About the PPC add-on for the B2060: as far as i know, this can't be used within the A2000 case. It appears not so interesting to me.

I want see some metal work done on the top of case let the air in for the tubo hehehehehe

The was a guy who built a ppc a500 last year.

There was a thread on amigans.net where he asked for help getting os4 to run on it. He was met with stuffy responses such as "A500 is not supported hardware".
Amusing thread but I can't find it right now.
