I know some ppl like these hd remakes but when i see them i just think why can't they come up with something new? If they want to make a 2D game so bad then make a new one. A sequel even would be better than a remake imo.

ive just put Flashback onto my PSP. i remember playing this on my A500 to the end with a 1 button joystick pressing spacebar to get gun out etc. kinda cool on psp, with added voices etc and savestate :D

It's not a rumour when it's official :p

Agreed

why not? seems fine and I never really played the original :p

That's great news. I really enjoyed Another World HD, the the indirect sequel will be great. I've loads of great memories playing through Flashback originally.

One of only 2 platform games I have completed!

A delicious flip screen platform'er that doesn't feel like one!

Very true as it had a lot of adventure and rpg elements. Especially the section where you had to work jobs to earn money to enter the game show in an attempt to win a ticket to earth. Brilliant game.

I never completed that many platform games either. Another World and Flashback were 2 of only a few I did too. Completed more since though, such as Trine.

Am i the only one who thinks that it looks very bad?
Flashback's graphic was a little more detailed than another world but also stylized and stylish, but, in my opinion, the style of this HD version is completely impersonal and ugly, it looks like one of the millions of games that during these years failed in imitating Flashback. :/

Have anyone played a remake which is actually as good or better than the original? beside better graphics. (And the game it remade was actually good)

Another World HD? :p
(it was exactly the same game with the same graphics... but in HD! :) )

I would also prefer a sequel but dont forget that there are a lot of people out there who haven't played the original and would like to have the opportunity to play it today with modern graphics...

I like the HD sequels (Broken Sword was a cracker) and Sensi on the XBox. Monkey Isand also. I like being able to click a button and be back in the original version also (like Monkey Island) as that's a nice added bonus to immerse myself in the nostalgia :)

Flashback was a favourite of mine too so an HD version will be great hopefully.

It sounds great , flash back is probably my fav platform and only recently I got to the job bit :-)

20 years later...

They did Another World and that worked out well. (Anniversary Edition).

This Flashback one should be great too
