just putting this up,so people please take notice,not really a rant but please read and pass about

if you feel the need to repair your own crt,fair play to you
but,dont ever use a hot glue gun to fix parts in place like neck assembly boards to crt's etc and/or heat sensitive areas or anywhere that gets hot,its a bad idea

i repeat,dont do it

consider this a fire hazard in your own home,find another fixing method preferably something fire and heat proof,and fair warning

and yes,i have seen people do this,be safe.dont follow every crap video you see on youtube to do with repairs,use some common sense

Also don't forget to be ware of High voltage from IIRC the flyback coils. There are probably some large high voltage capacitors in there too.

I don't like the idea of messing around with CRTs. Too many dangerous parts and too fragile for my taste.

Basically this. It's probably the first thing to remind of oneself even before picking up a screw driver.
