As my technology clearout continues, I have available a rather nice little machine. It's no spring chicken, but is still very capable on the net and for word processing etc. Would be perfect as a back-up machine or one for the children to use. There are some wear and tear marks, most noticeably to the palm rest. There are also some marks to the lid, although these are not major. The Z key on the keyboard is a little dopey and can sometimes need a bit more pressure to respond, although once awake, it works fine. A new keyboard would sort this if it really bother you though. I can supply and fit one for £10 if you think it will bother you that much! The supplied battery has pretty good life of around 1hr 30mins give or take. It will depend on what you use it for though! I can't offer any sort of guarantee on the battery, as a consumable item.
The princely sum of £80, including uninsured delivery (to Mainland UK only), takes this away. Upgrade to fully insured delivery for just £5 extra (UK mainland only)! UK islands or the Highlands, contact me for a total, as there will be a premium for delivery to these locations. Overseas delivery - prices on request.
Collection is welcome (cash only), or I am happy to post. Most couriers don't cover laptops so payment via PayPal gift is the only accepted method for such couriers. For couriers that do cover laptops, the buyer has the option of paying fees (3.9% + 20p).
Overseas postage prices on request.
Due to an experience I had with the last laptop I sold dying shortly after arrival (through no fault of the buyer's), I have come to the conclusion that tech doesn't like being posted, so I will offer a personal guarantee that this laptop is fully working and will not be DOA. Not only that, I will personally guarantee it for 30 days from arrival. If during those 30 days it dies, or something goes wrong with it (excluding software installed by the buyer), the buyer may return it (at their own expense) for a repair, replacement or refund (less original postage costs). The item must be returned intact (obviously!) , and will be checked for its security markings and/or serial numbers. Can't say fairer than that, surely!
My sale terms:
1) Following a declaration of interest, initial contact (a PM) is due within 24 hours. If no contact is made, I reserve the right to move on to the next in line.
2) Once all questions have been answered and my payment details have been provided, payment is due within 24 hours. If no payment is received (without further contact) I reserve the right to move on to the next in line.
3) All payments where no shipping insurance is opted for must be made via PayPal as a gift. If selecting shipping insurance then the buyer has the option of paying the fees. In the event that non-insured shipping is selected and the buyer pays the fees, the payment will be refunded and the sale declared void.
4) Once an item has been sent (usually next working day after payment received), the buyer will be PM'd tracking information where this is available, otherwise a PM to notify of posting will be sent. The thread will be updated.
5) Following receipt (as dictated by the shipping Company's POD), the personal guarantee will commence. If no faults are reported within 30 days, the item becomes non-returnable under any circumstances, although I will endeavour to help as much as possible. If a fualt is reported within 30 days I will, at my sole discretion, repair, replace or refund (in that order), less shipping costs.
6) Shipping costs are non-refundable under any circumstances.
Please be aware, I'm not a trader, just play with computers and tech as a hobby and clear out bits as well as whole laptops and other kit from time to time, after the 30 days it is very much Caveat Emptor, as with classified ads. Unlike classified ads, I'll help out where I can and may even have some spare parts to assist with a repair/fix if needed. Just so you know
