Hi there,
Here i'm offering fully assembled the Lo tech 8-bit IDE adapter rev3, Lo-tech's take on the orignal XT-IDE design. Not to be confused with the other sale thread i have here on amibay, those are the cut down versions with support only for CF cards, microdrives (disk on modules) and ATA-2 compliant hard drives only.
The Lo-tech 8 bit IDE adapter provides all the Lo-Tech XT-IDE CF (ISA Compact Flash adapter rev 3) has to offer, plus other advantages including:
This card enables the use of standard IDE (ATA) and SATA hard drives (via a SATA to IDE bridge).
Selectable port via jumper, 300h (default) or 320h.
This board also uses XT universal BIOS with support for XT-CF (PIO with BIU Offload)' (XT-CF BIU). This provides faster operation.
The assembled boards will include the optional components too, which will allow the boards to work on XT slot 8 and for the LED activity jumper. I will also provide a properly programmed EEPROM with the BIOS of your choice (XT-IDE or XT-IDE+). In addition i can provide BIOS extensions for High Density floppy support on your XT class PC!
All you need to do is to tell me which CPU you are using (8088/8086 or NEC V20/V30) and the floppy configuration you need ex: (A:1.44 B:1.2MB).
Price is 65€ + shipping and packing. ATM i'm only accepting PayPal. Fees are to be payed by buyer. I will charge 2£ extra if you require the extra HD floppy BIOS extensions. The new rev 3 now includes a bracket!
It will ship inside an anti static bag!
Price is higher than the other cards i'm selling due to increased PCB cost and much higher component count.
The boards i'm selling include sockets (for ease of replacement of IC's in future or other reasons) and also include the optional components that make the board PC/XT slot 8 compatible. LED activity header is also included.
To keep in mind: I'm not charging or selling the XT-IDE BIOS or the HD Floppy BIOS. Those are open source and can be found online. I am only charging for:
PCB + parts;
Assembly service;
EEPROM flashing;
Optional BIOS configuration and flashing;
Shipping costs which include post and shipping materials (this is due to me not having proper materials to ship safely).
No PCB's available ATM.
